Celine Gietzen received her BM from the Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of Alan Harris and a masters from UCLA with Antonio Lysy. Another of her influential teachers has been Dr. Richard Naill of the Colburn School. Celine has performed with the Santa Maria Philharmonic and as the principal cellist of the Moorpark Symphony. She has performed solo and chamber music recitals for the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC), the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce, the Arrowhead Arts Association, and the Classical Encounters Foundation. She has also performed alongside such popular artists as Harry Connick Jr. and Donna Summer. She regularly adjudicates for competitions, scholarship auditions, and the MTAC Certificate of Merit program. Celine is an active board member of MTAC.
