A Wonderful Finish to the 2025–2026 JCM Season

All JCM branches have now wrapped up the 2025–2026 season with beautiful and successful final concerts. It was a joy to see our students grow musically, collaborate deeply, and experience the unique rewards of chamber music. These performances reflected months of dedication, teamwork, and artistry - and we couldn’t be prouder.

Concert videos are currently being compiled and will be uploaded to our YouTube channel soon. We’ll notify you as soon as they are available.

A heartfelt thank‑you to our students, parents, teachers, esteemed JCM coaches, directors, and staff for another meaningful and inspiring season. Since 2002, JCM has continued to grow stronger each year because of your support and belief in our mission.

Trio ASA Performs at the Da Camera Society

On March 22, Trio ASA - Audrey Lee (violin), Sterling Tran (piano), and Alex Hwang (cello) - of JCM OC performed at the Da Camera Society concert as part of their Grand Prize award from the 2026 JCM Chamber Music Competition.

Congratulations to these outstanding young musicians for their artistry and achievement.

Celebrating JCM Student Achievements

We are delighted to share several remarkable accomplishments from our JCM students:

Trio Élégiaque - Julian Yoon (violin), Skyler Tran (piano), and Jeeho Park (cello) won First Place (Junior Category) at the 71st Friends of Chamber Music Young Musicians Competition in Vancouver, Canada.

Seaena Kim (violin) and Chloe Qian (piano) performed as soloists with the South Coast Symphony at Soka Performing Arts Center as winners of the 2026 South Coast Symphony Young STARS of the Future concerto competition.

The concert also featured Noah Choi (cello), a long‑time JCM student whose continued success is a joy for all of us to celebrate.

Congratulations to all. Your hard work and musicianship continue to inspire our entire community.

Spotlight Piece of the Month:

Maurice Ravel (1875-1937)
Piano Trio in A Minor, I. Modéré

A masterpiece of color, texture, and emotional depth, Ravel’s Piano Trio stands as one of the great works of the early 20th‑century chamber repertoire. The first movement, Modéré, unfolds with shimmering harmonies, rhythmic delicacy, and Ravel’s unmistakable sense of atmosphere. It’s a beautiful example of how three independent voices can weave together to create an entire world of sound - intimate, expressive, and richly layered.
