Atlas Trio

Jamie Lee (17, Violin)

Jamie Lee is a 12th grader attending Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. She has been studying violin for over 12 years and enjoys playing in orchestra and chamber music groups. She has attended Los Angeles Children’s Orchestra, Colburn Chamber Orchestra, Colburn Youth Orchestra and Pasadena Youth Symphony - Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed in NYC Carnegie Hall, Dorothy Chandler Pavillion and toured in Italy (Rovigo, Cremona). She served as a concertmaster in PYSO this year and was a soloist during the Italy tour. She performed with JCM Honors members on a Korea/Japan tour in 2025 and had an amazing experience. She has placed in solo competitions such as Southwest Youth Music Festival and placed in chamber music competitions such as JCM Chamber Music competition and Concordia Music Competition. Jamie will be attending UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music in the fall.

Isaiah Marais (17, Cello)

Cellist Isaiah Marais is a first-prize winner of the Los Angeles Youth Classical Competition, a prizewinner of the Junior Chamber Music Concerto Competition, and a semi-finalist in the Redlands Bowl Young Artist Concerto Competition. He attends the Fried Music Pre-College program, where he serves as principal cellist of the Fried Pre-College Orchestra. Isaiah has received masterclasses from Hans Jørgen Jensen and Andrew Shulman. As a member of the Atlas Trio, he is a prizewinner of the Concordia Music Competition and JCM Chamber Competition. Isaiah is also an alumnus of the Meadowmount School of Music where he studied with Hans Jørgen Jensen. He currently studies with Ben Fried.

Maxwell Tran (17, Piano)

Maxwell is a junior attending the Orange County School of the Arts. He started playing piano at the age of 4, and has won numerous competitions, such as 1st place at the Amici International Music Festival for both his solo and chamber music performances, and 1st place at the Encinitas Youth Music Competition where he performed Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 2 with the North Coast Symphony Orchestra. Maxwell was selected as a Top 15 Exceptional Performer in The 2025 Charleston International Piano Competition. He also had the honor of performing solo at Carnegie Hall in 2024 and was invited to perform with his Junior Chamber Music (JCM) group this past summer in Seoul, Korea and Tokyo, Japan. Maxwell actively participates in community service playing piano for his church choirs, performing and organizing concerts at various nursing homes and senior community centers throughout Orange County and Los Angeles areas. Besides playing piano, Maxwell is passionate about science, being part of the Science Olympiad and Science Bowl teams at his school.
