Jenny Hyunseung Oh

Jenny Hyunseung Oh is a distinguished cellist whose career embraces solo, chamber, and teaching engagements across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Recognized for her expressive artistry and refined technique, she brings both depth and warmth to her performances, captivating audiences with a rare balance of precision and emotional resonance.

Her musical path began in Korea, where she earned her Bachelor of Music from Seoul National University. She continued her studies in the United States, receiving her Master of Music from the Peabody Conservatory and a Graduate Certificate in Music Performance from the University of Southern California.

As a soloist Jenny has appeared with the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra in Korea and the North Hungarian Symphony Orchestra in Hungary. She is also an active chamber musician, performing in concerts throughout Korea, Germany, France, and the United States. A committed ensemble player, she is a member of Charis Christian Chamber and the W Trio, an ensemble of USC alumni.

In addition to her performance career, Jenny is a devoted teacher and mentor. She has taught at Kwang-ju University in Korea, served as Adjunct Professor at Concordia University, and has been on faculty at the Bakersfield International Music Festival, Concordia's Summer Chamber Music Camp, and Junior Chamber Music of Orange County. She also maintains a vibrant private studio, guiding young cellists with both technical rigor and artistic encouragement.

Through her work as both performer and educator, Jenny continues to inspire audiences and students alike, sharing her love for music with dedication and joy.
