Vetements Trio

Jamie Lee (16, violin)

Jamie Lee is an 11th grader attending Los Angeles County High School for the Arts.  She has been studying violin for over 10 years and enjoys playing in orchestra and chamber music groups. She has attended Los Angeles Children's Orchestra, Colburn Chamber Orchestra, Colburn Youth Orchestra and Pasadena Youth Symphony - Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed in NYC Carnegie Hall, Dorothy Chandler Pavillion and toured in Italy (Rovigo, Cremona). She is excited to join her JCM Honors members on this international trip.

Joseph Margolis (16, cello)

Joseph Margolis is a sophomore attending Maranatha High School, and has been playing cello for 11 years. He attended Colburn Chamber Institute, and won 3rd place for MTAC VOCE competition in freshman year.  Joseph has performed in the Pasadena Conservatory Music Chamber intensive program and studied with Shanghai Philharmonic Principal Cellist Zhu Lin.  He currently studies with Professor Joon Sung Jun, and attends the Fried Music Precollege Program. 

Maxwell Tran (15, piano)

Maxwell started his piano journey at the age of 4. His piano accomplishments include the Amici International Music Festival where he won 1st place for both his solo and chamber music performances, selected Debut Artists of the Year 2025 JCM- LA, Top 15 Exceptional Performer in the 2025 Charleston International Piano Competition.  First place winner at the Encinitas Youth Music Competition, the Calif. Regional and Aegio International Piano Competition, and the Satori Open Bach Competition.
